Pearl Stoneware Fruit Bowl

The Pearl Collection is crafted in Portugal from fine stoneware, a material chosen for its beautiful weight, durability and softly refined finish.

Produced by Costa Nova, a leading name in European ceramics, each piece reflects a deep-rooted tradition of Portuguese craftsmanship. Founded in a small coastal town and now recognised globally, the brand has spent decades refining the balance between heritage techniques and modern innovation, supplying tableware to homes, boutique hotels and restaurants worldwide.

Using locally sourced natural clay, each piece is carefully shaped, fired and finished to achieve both strength and elegance. The signature pearl-like beaded edge is inspired by antique European ceramics and applied with precision, creating a subtle texture that feels both timeless and distinctive.

What sets this collection apart is not just how it looks, but how it performs. High-temperature firing creates a dense, resilient body designed to withstand the rhythm of everyday use, while the glazed finish enhances the soft milky tone and helps protect against wear over time.

This is craftsmanship that goes beyond aesthetics — a considered process, refined over years of expertise, resulting in tableware that feels as good in the hand as it does on the table.

A collection shaped by Portuguese heritage, skilled production and enduring design, and one that has remained a firm favourite in our range for over a decade.

Dishwasher safe for everyday convenience.

Microwave safe for reheating food.

Suitable for oven and freezer use when handled with care.

Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving a hot plate onto a cold surface, or moving a dish from the fridge/freezer directly into an oven or microwave.

Do not use over a direct flame or hob.

Load carefully in the dishwasher so pieces do not knock against each other.

Avoid abrasive scourers to help preserve the glazed finish.

Crafted with longevity and responsibility in mind, the Pearl Collection reflects a considered approach to both materials and manufacturing.

Each piece is made in Portugal using natural clay sourced locally, reducing transport impact while supporting traditional European craftsmanship. Production combines modern energy-efficient technology with time-honoured ceramic techniques, ensuring a balance between performance and environmental care.

Stoneware itself is a more sustainable choice — requiring lower firing temperatures than many ceramics, which helps reduce energy consumption without compromising strength or durability

Across production, materials are carefully managed to minimise waste. Clay and glaze remnants are recycled and reintroduced into the manufacturing process, with some innovations using up to 99% recycled materials in newly developed stoneware compositions

Manufacturing takes place within a network of Portuguese factories that prioritise:

• Energy efficiency and reduced emissions
• Responsible water and waste management
• Ethical working conditions and skilled employment

Above all, sustainability is considered through longevity. Designed to be used every day and made to last for years, each piece reduces the need for replacement — a quieter, more thoughtful approach to consumption.
