Why you'll love it

Dunas is one of those simple styling pieces that can completely finish an arrangement. The rich brown tones of Dark Emperador marble bring warmth and depth, while the spherical shape provides a beautiful contrast to books, trays and more angular decorative objects. Handcrafted from natural marble, every sphere has its own individual veining and markings, making each piece completely unique.

About this piece

Beautifully simple and inherently sculptural, our Dunas Marble Sphere is handcrafted from Dark Emperador marble, a richly coloured natural stone characterised by its deep chocolate-brown tones and contrasting natural veining.

The smooth spherical form allows the beauty of the marble to take centre stage, while the honed finish gives the stone a softer, understated appearance. At 12cm in diameter, Dunas has enough presence to make an impact styled alone, while being wonderfully easy to layer amongst books, candles and other collected pieces.

Style it on a coffee table, console or open shelving to introduce shape, depth and natural material. A simple finishing piece that gives a room that beautifully considered, interior-designer feel.

Materials & care

Materials & craftsmanship

Dunas Dark Emperor Brown Marble Sphere is handcrafted from natural stone with a honed surface. Each sphere measures 12cm in diameter and varies in colour and veining.

Care instructions

Marble is a natural, porous stone and should be treated with care. Wipe clean using a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemical products and acidic substances such as vinegar or citrus, which may mark or damage the surface. As Dunas is made from solid marble, take care when placing it on delicate surfaces and avoid dropping or knocking the stone.

Natural variations in colour, veining and markings are characteristic of genuine marble and form part of the individual beauty of each piece.

THE FINER DETAILS

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Thoughtful answers to help you choose with confidence.

What is the Dunas Dark Emperador Marble Sphere made from?

Dunas is handcrafted from natural Dark Emperador marble with a smooth honed finish. This distinctive marble is known for its deep brown colouring and contrasting natural veining.

What is a marble sphere used for in home styling?

A marble sphere is a decorative object used to introduce shape, texture and natural material to an arrangement. Its rounded form works particularly well alongside more angular pieces such as books, trays and boxes, helping a display feel more layered and considered.

Where should I style the Dunas Marble Sphere?

Dunas works beautifully on a coffee table, console, sideboard or open shelving. Style it alone for a simple sculptural statement or incorporate it into a collection of books, candles and decorative objects.

Will every Dark Emperador marble sphere look the same?

No. Dark Emperador is a natural stone, so every sphere will have its own variations in colour, markings and veining. This individuality is part of the beauty of genuine marble.

Is Dunas made from real marble?

Yes. Dunas is handcrafted from solid natural Dark Emperador marble rather than a marble-effect or printed material.

What does a honed marble finish mean?

Honed marble has a smooth surface with a softer, more understated finish than highly polished marble. This gives Dunas a beautifully tactile quality while allowing the natural colour and veining of the stone to remain the focus.

Can I coordinate Dunas with other Dark Emperador marble pieces?

Yes. Style it alongside our Dark Emperador Ribbed Marble Candle Holders to create a cohesive arrangement. Repeating the same natural stone in different shapes and heights gives a display a more layered, collected feel.

How large is the Dunas Marble Sphere?

Dunas measures 12cm in diameter — large enough to have presence when styled alone, but compact enough to incorporate easily into a coffee table, console or shelving arrangement.

How do I care for Dark Emperador marble?

Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive, chemical or acidic cleaning products and take care when placing the solid marble sphere on delicate surfaces.
