Materials & care

Materials & craftsmanship

The Azores Tray is made from Icelandic Green marble, a natural stone known for its deep green colouring, tonal movement and distinctive veining. Each piece of marble is unique, with natural variations in pattern, colour and surface detail that give every tray its own character.

The design uses a simple round form with soft sculptural lines, allowing the beauty of the stone to remain the focus. Its raised profile gives the tray a more architectural feel, making it a decorative object in its own right as well as a useful styling piece.

As marble is a natural material, variations in tone, veining, markings and surface character should be expected. These differences are part of the beauty of the stone and make each Azores tray individual.

Care instructions

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface marks. Do not use harsh chemicals, acidic cleaners, vinegar, bleach, abrasive products or scouring pads, as these may damage or dull the marble.

Avoid placing oily, acidic, wet or strongly coloured items directly onto the stone for prolonged periods.

Wipe spills immediately and dry thoroughly after cleaning. Marble is a natural porous stone and should be treated with care to reduce the risk of staining, etching or surface marks.

Sustainability

Marble is a natural material valued for its durability, longevity and timeless beauty. A well-cared-for marble accessory can remain in the home for many years, making it a more considered choice than short-lived decorative pieces.

The Azores Tray is designed with a simple, enduring shape that can be restyled across different rooms and seasons. Its natural stone composition, rich green colouring and sculptural form give it long-term decorative value beyond seasonal trends.

As with all natural stone, care is important. Protecting the surface from harsh chemicals, acidic foods, oils and standing water will help preserve the marble and keep it looking beautiful over time.
