With Christmas right around the corner we wanted to share with you our absolute favourite Christmas cocktails, perfect for hosting a Christmas party or a night in with friends.
1. We'll begin with a Poinsettia, a classy mixture of fruit and fizz.
Step 1: Chill the triple sec, cranberry juice, and Champagne or Prosecco in the fridge until refreshingly cold. Step 2: Pour the triple sec and cranberry juice into the chilled glass, then slowly top up with the champagne and garnish with the bay leaf.
Serve this up in one of our New Douro Wine Glasses for an effortlessly elegant appeal.
2. Our second selection is a Grapefruit Gin Sour 'Mocktail'
A delicious alcohol-free option for the festive season.
Step 1: Put all the ingredients except the ice into a cocktail shaker and shake well to combine. Step 2: Add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds or until the sides of the shaker feel cold. Strain into glasses with more ice. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
This mix looks stunning in our Lima Gin Glasses, a perfect party quality.
3. Next we have a sparkling Sloe Gin Fizz
We love sipping on this cool and zesty refreshing drink as we join the Christmas party.
Step 1: Pour the sloe gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice cubes. Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold, then strain into a glass filled with more ice. Top up with sparkling water and stir gently. Garnish with a lemon slice and a blackberry.
Here you can see this treat in our Douro Tumbler.
5. For a quick but delicious cocktail you can try a Venetian Pomegranate Cocktail
With only three ingredients this mix is perfect for a Christmas party
Step 1: Stir together the vermouth and pomegranate juice. Top up with the ginger ale and serve, adding an ice cube if you wish. We serve this cocktail in our Cinco Martini Glasses, creating an air of sophistication and vintage glamour, perfect for those special occasions.
6. Lastly, we have our founder Suzy's favourite special treat, a French 75.
A combination of gin and champagne with a lemon twist.
Step 1: Pour the lemon juice, sugar syrup and gin into a cocktail shaker then fill up with ice and shake well. Step 2: Strain into a champagne flute. Top with a little champagne. Swirl gently with a cocktail stirrer then garnish with a strip of lemon zest. This cocktail is perfect for those Christmas afternoons spent catching up with friends.
